INTEGRATION ARTS

Community Arts by ZK delivered a series of workshops on arts and textiles with a strong emphasis on community cohesion, education and integration.

The project 'Integration Arts' encouraged people to learn more about themselves and others through engagement and interaction, with the use of art and textiles and through learning various skills and techniques.

​

Children, young people and families from a range of cultures including immigrants from Hungary, Lithuania, Italy, Pakistan working alongside British families came together and shared their cultures and produced unique artworks.

​

They had the opportunity to work closely with artist Zaneb Khatun and explored block printing techniques using Indian wooden blocks, drawing and collage and weaving techniques.
