PENDLE SUMMER ARTS

As part of Fun Vibes, Actives Lives, COMMUNITY ARTS by ZK ran a summer long project which brought together children between the ages of 4-16 to take part in a range of workshops run by our very own community artist, Louise Cunningham.

Louise introduced the children to a range of creative techniques and processes which allowed them to learn new skills and enhance their creative abilities. For example, the children experimented with mixed-media techniques using collage and fabric, tie dye techniques, painting techniques, creating art with nature, yarn crafts and marbling.

The workshops ran daily in Victoria Park, Nelson, for four weeks over the summer and included a free healthy lunch. The children thoroughly enjoyed the project which gave them the opportunity to take part in something fun and exciting over the summer. The project saw the children’s confidence grow as they socialised with each other and produced a collection of artworks to be proud of.
