On now!

On now!

Community Arts by ZK will be running another summer project this year working with children ages 5-13 as part of the Fun Vibes, Active Lives - holiday activities and food programme (HAF) supported by Pendle Borough Council. This scheme provides enriching summer activities for children to inspire healthy living.

Our community artist, Louise Cunningham will be leading the HAF project with help from professional mural artist. We will also be working with outdoor learning officer, Alison Cross from the Pendle Hill Landscape Partnership, who will work with the children teaching them how to grow their own food and look after wildlife. Working with our artists, the children will take part in a range of creative activities that will embed art into nature, transforming and enhancing this fantastic space. We will create sculptures and artworks to display around the garden project as an outdoor gallery. We want the children in our community to really make their mark on the Garden Project so that they can continue to use this natural site in the future. Through artist walks, creative workshops and outdoor learning, this project aims to inspire sustainable living, and creative outlooks, giving the children something to be proud of.

Join us and get creative in our fabulous new outdoor space at the garden Project in Nelson!

We will explore the garden, grow things, and transform the space into a creative and vibrant Eden.

These creative workshops will bring children together from across Pendle to learn new skills, make vibrant and inspiring artworks, make new friends, and most importantly, have fun!
