Hannah Smith is the Community artist at Community Arts by ZK. Hannah is a socially engaged multidisciplinary artist and photographer based in Pendle, Hannah is an experienced community artist with a wealth of experience working with communities from all social and economic backgrounds.
Following the competition of her BA, Hannah went on to study an MA in Socially Engaged Arts at the University of Salford, graduating with grade Distinction in 2024. Throughout her postgraduate studies, Hannah focused solely on Pendle and its people, creating a year-long project titled Picturing Pendle that strived to provide free art activities for families, developing collaboration with local creatives and celebrating Pendles beautiful landscape.
In 2023, Hannah began a painting series in conjunction with her BA Fine Art degree, which delved into socio-economic issues like the cost-of-living. Hannah's work was then selected for the MADE IT 2023 exhibition held at the Royal Standard, where it won the Paradise Works Prize.
